The property features open-air teaching stations and an active family kitchen designed for group instruction. Programs focus on hands-on preparation of authentic Balinese family recipes, guiding participants through the complete cooking process from raw ingredients to finished dishes. Offerings typically begin with a guided market tour, allowing guests to observe and select local ingredients such as fresh vegetables, herbs, spices, and various proteins. Back at the compound, instructors demonstrate traditional cooking methods using tools like stone grinders, charcoal stoves, and woks. Participants then replicate these techniques to prepare multiple dishes, which they consume communally at the end of the session. The instruction emphasizes practical culinary skills and the cultural context of Balinese home cooking, sharing generations of knowledge.
