Penglipuran Village

Penglipuran is one of Bali’s best-kept secrets, hiding in plain sight. Tucked into the cool highlands of Bangli, this 14th-century Bali Aga village still runs on a layout unchanged for centuries: one stone-paved street, arched entrance gates, and family compounds wrapped in neat green hedges.

It earned a spot on the UN Tourism Best Tourism Villages 2023 list — not for spectacle, but for the daily discipline of keeping things clean, ordered, and sacred.

What to expect

  • Walk the central lane up to the village temple, past houses that all follow the same traditional blueprint.
  • See cultural life up close — from daily offerings to the rare Mianin (Ngaben) ceremony, where a whole cow is offered rather than a symbolic effigy.
  • Join hands-on activities: Balinese cooking, dance, bamboo painting, and an authentic village dinner.
  • Stay overnight at Feel Accommodation and wake inside the quiet.

Hours: Open daily 08:00–18:30 (GMT+8).
Booking: via WhatsApp.
